I am a Veterans' advocate and stay actively involved with Veterans'Rights. A great deal of my time is dedicated to helping Vietnam Veterans in whatever capacity I can. The biggest majority of help needed is with the claims process with the Veterans Administration for PTSD and Agent Orange.
Another area that I'm actively involved in, is helping Veterans locate their brothers whom they served with in Vietnam. The internet has become a very useful tool over the past few years with VA claims and finding old buddies.

I was born in Petoskey, Michigan in 1952 and I moved to Texas in 1963. I have five sisters, one brother, two daughters, one son, and six grandchildren at last count.
I guess you could say that I'm kind of a jack of all trades, and master of none. I have been in various professions on and off over the years. I worked in the retail business for several years, starting at the age of 17, after working a short time in a sewing factory.
I was a military wife for awhile, living at Biloxi, Mississsippi, then at Carswell AFB in Ft. Worth until returning to the civilian life, and back to Sherman, Tx, where I've remained.
I worked at Texas Instruments for several years, and took a few years off to finish raising my children.
A Letter To My Children
I have done various other things since then, including working at a florist shop, the outreach staff at my church, and being an aide at a local home for the mentally handicapped.
I don't know what's in store for me next, but you never know what lies around the next bend in the road........
God Bless You
Linda

This is a candid kitchen moment that was taken January 2000.
I think I was just about to sink my teeth into a german chocolate cake. :)
