They call her Texastwister
Indeed all war veterans beloved sister
Her caring creed
To honor those in need
From the pits of war's hell freed
Her great gift loving compassion
Veterans her most endearing passion

This Texas cutey
Truly an angel that walks in beauty
Contending with war's absurdity
Bestows an angels healing ability
A shining presence above and beyond the call of duty
With but a gentle, loving word
The sweetest sound many vets have heard

Striving to link lost brother's forlorn
To find buddies from the cruel war shorn
Seeking to nurture with divine caring
With brothers in wars tempest tossed sharing

Linda gives angelic mercy to vets in need
To in word and deed feed
Brothers by cruel war effected
Whose warm welcome home's in measure deflected
Grim agonies from long ago salving
With her immense loving caring
Welcoming
Saving
Once gungho naive boys
Who lost innocent joys

Linda brings relief to the soul
Her love heart healing the whole
Trading secrets with pure loving
With them laughing
Cares dissipating
Those two misfits sorrow and pain sharing
As her own embracing
With loving giving curing
The way back to humanity
Linda is showing
