Cruzin' down tha highway
It was sho'nuff my lucky day.
I saw a field of flowers
I knew would make yer day.
Doz purdy little bluebonnets
Was growin' ever where.
I knew iff'n I brought ya some
You'd know fer sure I care.
I dug um up so careful
and filled thet big ole box.
I even fought doz fireants
That got down in my sox.
I picked thet box up careful
And stuck it in my truck.
Then along came tha law
And changed all my luck.
Cuffed me and he stuffed me.
Took me back to town.
Hauled thet ole pick-up truck
And stuck it in the pound.
Wait fer me my darlin'
Till they let me go.
I'm gonna brang ya flowers
When, I sho'nuff dont know.
