~ Lake Texoma ~

Lake Texoma is a huge reservoir which encompasses 89,000 acres of Texas and Oklahoma and is an empoundment of the Red River. The lake has a shoreline of 580 miles and is one of the most popular Corps of Engineers lakes in the nation. More than 9 million visitors enjoy the scenic beauty of Lake Texoma annually.
Lake Texoma offers just about every activity for the outdoors enthusiast, including boating, fishing, camping and hiking.
Lake Texoma has over 80 boat ramps and several superb marinas and resorts on both the Texas and Oklahoma shores and there is plenty of room for every type of boating activity imaginable.
Lake Texoma boasts some of the best fishing in the nation. Popular species include striped bass, black bass, Florida bass, white bass, smallmouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Lake Texoma holds the national record blue catfish at 118 1/2 pounds.
Lake Texoma is noted as one of the best Striper fishing lakes. Licenced Striper guides are available to make your Striper fishing expedition the memory of a lifetime.
Lake Texoma facilities include 57 campgrounds, numerous trailer parks and 110 picnic areas. Camping is allowed at all parks on the Texas side of the lake, except Overloook and Preston Point parks. Some campsites are free and prices on others vary. Many have toilets, electricity and cold water showers.
Lake Texoma has a fourteen-mile long hiking trail for the hiking enthusiast. Cross Timbers Trail meanders through Juniper Point, Cedar Bayou, Paw Paw Creek and Rock Creek parks.
